School Performance and OFSTED/SIAMS

Our aim is to bring the best out of every pupil that attends St Andrew's

Friday, 19th May 2023

Dear parents and carers,

Please follow the link below to find our Ofsted report following our recent Section 5 inspection on 13th and 14th March 2023. I am delighted to inform you that the inspector, Mr Dave Gibson, judged that St. Andrew’s CE Primary School continues to be good in all areas. The inspection was rigorous and thorough, and so we are very pleased with the resulting report, which we believe to be a fair reflection of our school’s strengths and of the high standard of provision we make for our children.

It was good to see that Mr Gibson recognised the work that has been put into embedding a knowledge-rich curriculum, which enables pupils to ‘describe what they have learned in detail, linking knowledge from different subjects together’. In addition, Mr Gibson reported that ‘staff have high expectations of pupils with special educational needs’ reflecting the fact that our curriculum is inclusive and designed to enable all pupils to access learning and to make progress.

I am so proud to be the head teacher of St. Andrew’s Primary School with such respectful, enthusiastic children, supportive parents, hardworking, committed staff and a strong governing body. It is a privilege and an honour to be a part of this wonderful school community. Thank you again for your support for all that we do here at St. Andrew’s Primary School!

With best wishes,

Elizabeth Henderson

Headteacher
