Welcome to Year 6
A very warm welcome to Year 6! We have a fantastic team of adults here including Mr Lebbon, Mrs Cooper, Mrs Sargeant & Mrs Barber who are thrilled to be able to welcome back everyone after such a disrupted year last year. As in every year group, there will always be challenges as well as triumphs and this year is particularly exciting with the pupils preparing for their transition to secondary school! However, we hope that we can support and encourage the children to take on the challenges and the additional responsibilities with determination and develop their resilience in readiness for the future.
In the Autumn term, we will be learning about why people seek refuge during war times in History; Classifying animals in Science; Learning about Animals in French; Looking at how following God can bring about Freedom & Justice in R.E as well as lots of other interesting topics.
Maths will see a focus on Place Value & the Four Operations whilst in English, we will be looking at the 'Boy at the Back of the Class' by Onjali Rauf
If there are any queries or concerns, please feel free to make an appointment to talk with Mr Lebbon or Mrs Cooper, alternatively feel free to email us any questions or queries you may have.
